Duminda Silva in Sri Lanka?

August 3, 2012 | | READ |

UPFA parliamentarian Duminda Silva has reportedly returned to Sri Lanka, police intelligence sources told the Colombo Gazette today.
However these reports could not be independently verified from the government or any member of Silva’s family.
Silva was receiving treatment in Singapore since last year after sustaining serious head injuries in the Mulleriyawa shooting incident.
Presidential Advisor Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra was killed in the shooting incident in October last year and Silva was seen as one of the suspects in the murder.
However the MP had reportedly told the CID when he was questioned in hospital in Singapore recently that he could not recollect the incident.
Silva had sustained serious head injuries after he was believed to have been shot by a bodyguard of Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra soon after Premachandra was shot.
Premachandra’s daughter Hirunika Premachandra has been seeking justice in court over her father’s killing and has been calling for the arrest of MP Silva. (Colombo Gazette)
