Large scale corruption in fuel & electricity sector – DEW

The advantage of decreasing fuel prices in the world market cannot be given to the masses due to large scale frauds and corruption in the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation says Senior Minister D.E.W. Gunasekera. He said there are also large scale frauds in other institutions of power and energy such as Ceylon Electricity Board.

He said despite the willingness of the government to give relief to masses it has not been able to be fulfilled due to fraud and corruption in the power and energy sector of the government.
