Niluka beaten

Sri Lankan badminton player Niluka Karunaratne lost his second round match to Indian Kashyap Parupalli 21-14 15-21 21-9 at the Wembley Arena in London a short while ago

Karunaratne came back strong in the second set, after losing the first, but failed to keep up with his opponent, ranked 21 in the World.

Meanwhile, Reshika Udugampola was the latest Sri Lankan athlete to exit the games, after finishing sixth in the second heat of the 100m freestyle with a time of 1:04:93 sec.
